Repair & Restoration

Is your log home feeling blue from the weather? Maybe it has already started to have rotted logs? Don't worry; your log home can be saved.

The rotted parts can be cut off and replaced. After we assess the status of your log home, the repair or restoration can be done by either removing the rotted log and replacing it fully or by the process of refacing (cutting off just the affected log parts and attaching 1/2 log to the outside).

Staining & Sealing

Such as our skin, your log home exteriors are continuously hit by water and UV damage. The environmental effects not only deteriorate the look of your log home, but they also let bugs enter into the logs.

Should we need to take care of staining and sealing, your old finish will be removed and we'll check the logs against any mold or fungus. Then we can get into staining and finding the best color that will be chosen as per your log's specification.

Corn Blasting & Power Washing

Both blasting and power-washing can help to keep your log-home clean from stains, dirt and mold. Both processes are non-toxic and environmentally friendly.

Whether you need blasting or power-washing depends on a few factors (e.g. is the stain in decent shape? has the log suffered UV damage? etc.). Fear not, your log home can be cleaned in no time - the only question is which tool is the best for your logs.

Chinking

Do you start seeing gaps between logs or logs and windows, doors, roof lines? If so, chinking is what your log home needs.

With the process of chinking, we are filling in these gaps preventing water, air or bugs from entering your log home. The chinking we use today is latex based and has heavy UV-resistance. Sure enough, this is a labor-intense work. But once the surface is cleaned properly, your old chinks will be covered by the new ones and you’ll be a satisfied log-home owner yet again.
